1966 Suburban Frame off resto – Monthly Progress Reports
Day I brought the Suburban home | January | February | March | April
Some of the parts bought
1963 GMC Suburban (this will be for sale once done) Bodywork / paint
Got about 60% of my order from CPP. Ordered on March 10 and just received them today (April1st)
I believe it was 10 boxes with smaller boxes within those boxes.
Still have quite a bit coming in.
Still debating on the motor. Definitely going with a 383. Probably go with Skip White Performance.
4/12/21 – Got my moldings back from “Woody’s” in Clearwater. What an awesome polishing job. I highly recommend them. Decently priced and fast service.
4-12 – possibly a change in plans. I might go with a bigger stroker. Possibly a 406. I’m not positive on this. Stay tuned
Been very busy working on the ’63 GMC Suburban. Pretty much down to the roof and the front of the windshield. Stripped, bodyworked and 2K primed all panels so far.
Replaced the front drivers floor pan. STILL waiting for the right inner rocker for the ’63 so I can’t get that done. I have the right floor pan and the right rocker on hand.
The ’63 GMC Suburban Custom will be for sale when done.
This is a true “Custom”. So a rare model!
Lot’s of backordered parts. So awaiting those.
